Should I take RuPay Credit Card for UPI or wait for VISA/Mastercard to enter UPI?

As of now, only RuPay is supported for UPI Payments to merchants.
Suggestions, whether to go with it or wait for VISA to enter in this category?
Not a very heavy user of paying to merchants, just normal expenses from day to day.

VISA and Mastercard are already negotiating with Indian Govt for UPI Linkage. Sooner or Later they will be allowed this linkage.

As of now you're not missing out on a lot if you don't have a lot of merchant payments. My suggestion would be to wait another 3-6 months, things will become much clearer

Visa & mastercard not going offer upi anytime soon.

VISA , Mastercards & Rupay are Payment gateways that facilitates payments settlements, so all these are independent systems, not sure about linage of UPI with Mastercard or Visa, but GoI has instructed Banks to provide facility to existing card holders to switch to Rupay variant.
You can go for Rupay card also, along with your existing card. There are Digital Card and LTF's also, if you to want to have one.

Thats not the case, only RuPay Card can be used as UPI (For Scan and Pay Payment) via any Mobile Payment Application.
