What is an Aadhaar Card?

The Unique Identification Authority of India, a government agency, issues a unique 12-digit Aadhaar number to residents of India. This number acts as both proof of identity and an address throughout the country. Whether you receive it by mail or download it online, both the physical Aadhaar letter and the electronic Aadhaar (e-Aadhaar) are considered valid.

SSUP (Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal)

This portal helps you to update your identity and address documents that are linked to your Aadhaar card.If you need to update the documents, it will be shown as a notice when you log in to the myAadhaar website. (Link: https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ )

Note: This just allows you to update the documents linked to your Aadhaar card; you can't change any data on your Aadhaar card online; for that, you have to visit the Aadhaar centre.
