Starting own demat account for SIP

I had been investing in mutual funds through my brother's demat account via a SIP. Now I want to start my own demat account with the same funds that I was using earlier with my brother's account. Will there be any impact on the investment growth if I start with a new account, or should I continue using my brother's account?

SIP doesn't need Demat... Demat is only for direct equity market transactions / bonds etc.

Pls. open new account on your name and go ahead.. nothing will chg.. for ur earlier investment you will need your brothers ok for any withdrawal
