It depends upon the age of your credit card accounts. If you have credit cards which are older than this credit card, then I don't think it will affect your credit score.

Note: Just clear all your outstanding and overdue before closing.

Do you have another credit card? If yes, what is the age of the other card?

Hi jk4u,
If the card you are about to close is your oldest card, your age of credit card will fall to 2nd oldest card.
i.e. overall you credit card age will fall down, hence impacting the credit score
