Hey everyone!
My company is offering option to open salary accounts with ICICI / HDFC / Kotak / Standard Chartered / Axis Bank / HSBC
I already own HDFC and yes bank, I wanna know what is the best bank for salary account for 6LPA.
I’m looking for the overall better benefits and future scope.

I do transactions (UPI) a lot, guide me too to manage it in much better way.

I was leaning keen on HSBC and Standard Chartered, but share your views too.

With salary of 6LPA, any bank account is fine. HDFC has best services that's all. I have very good experiences with HDFC bank. They give huge loans, good credit cards and any issue solved under 48hrs.

ICICI Salary account is worse for 6LPA, they'll provide basic debit & credit cards, no upgrades. Less credit limit.

Kotak Salary account: If you have salary of monthly 50k you'll het Kotak Privy League account has best lifestyle features like airport lounges, brand discounts, locker and some good features. But you have to be eligible for this. You should contact your RM.

Standard Chartered: These guys moved out of INDIA and their services are slow and pathetic.

Axis Bank: for 6LPA they will provide you basic salary account, but you can get a good debit card as per your need. They have wide range of debit card variants

HSBC: This bank has best debit card and services are also top notch. I was also willing it to open but, If you want to go bank and have some physical work they have very few branches only in metro cities.

IDFC Bank: This bank has also good features but their SELECT & WEALTH accounts are best which you will get with salary of 1lac/m.

I currently have a 0 CIBIL score and have applied for a secured RuPay credit card with a limit of ₹50,000 to help build my credit score. I’ve received my first job offer with a salary of around ₹40,000 and will be joining in September.

I’m looking to get a good credit card in the future and would prefer one that offers benefits on food, dining, and shopping. My company allows salary account openings with 8 banks (HDFC, ICICI, Axis, Kotak, SCB, HSBC, IDFC, or DBS), and I’m planning to choose either HDFC or HSBC(as someone suggested the Live+ card is a good option.)

However, I don’t think I’ll be staying in a Tier 1 city after 2 months, so I may not be eligible for the Live+ card. Some of my friends who joined the same company were issued a Visa Platinum credit card while opening their salary account.

Could you please guide me on what I should do and where to open salary account?
