Debit card annual charge

My axis bank account debited 236 rs chargea on 8th august, my ild debit card was due for expiry in sep2024

Over telephonic call on 10thaugust, after i had raised concern over their social media team, they assured of no further deduction of charges for replacement card

Yet again on 20th august my account was debited 354rs charges.

After connecting to customer care via social media team, they told these are charges for new card issuance.

New card is not delivered to me, also old card is still in use and working

How is that fair?

Any help?
p.s. i didn't request for new card from my end

Depend on which bank's debit card you have.

State Bank of India
Up to Rs.350 plus taxes will be levied from second year, which depends on the card type

HDFC Bank
Up to Rs.750 plus taxes

Federal Bank
Up to Rs.750 for contactless cards and Rs.500 for other cards

Axis Bank
Rs.200 plus taxes for Visa Classic or Platinum card

Indian Bank
up to Rs.150 plus taxes that will be levied from the second year onwards

Union Bank of India
up to Rs.400 plus taxes
