How to improve CIBIL

My CIBIL score is already good 786 but it has never reached above 800. Please guide me how I can achieve CIBIL score to 800 and above. I have maintained my track record well but not able to identify reason of not meeting CIBIL Score above 800. Currently I do not hold any active loan and also minimum credit card utilisation.

That’s actually a really good question and you’re not alone! Many people with great credit habits get “stuck” around the 780–790 mark. A score of 786 is already solid, but crossing 800 usually needs a bit more activity in your credit profile.

If you don’t have any active loans and use very little credit, CIBIL doesn’t have much recent data to judge you on. Try using your credit card a bit more maybe 10–20% of your limit and pay it off in full every month. That shows responsible usage. Having a mix of credit also helps. If you’ve only ever used cards, a small consumer loan or EMI (even for a phone or laptop) can add diversity.

Also, keep your oldest credit card active long credit history adds weight. Lastly, check your detailed CIBIL report once to ensure there’s no old account still showing as “open.” With consistent use for a few months, you’ll likely see it climb past 800. Sometimes it’s just about staying active, not just perfect.
