How to Invest in PPF account

I open PPF account in HDFC Bank. And invest 2000 just for test. What if i want to invest more in that account let's say want to invest 5000 more. Is it possible to invest every month in that PPF account.
Is there any rule for PPF account? Any good practice for PPF account?

U can invest more. Probably max in a year is 1.5L

Correct....
Currently PPF allows upto 1.5 L deposits per year

Remember few things
- you have to invest atleast 100/- per year.
- the amount is tax exempted. But all further investments will be taxed as per tax slabs.
- you will not be able to withdraw anything in first 7 years.
Theres a calculation on how much you can withdraw whenever you are eligible.
- the first time it is opened for 15 years and then you keep on renewing it for every 5 years.

Yes... You can invest upto 1.5L in one financial year in multiples of 100s
