How to make best use of HDFC Millennia credit card?

Just got my 1st credit card. Had my salary account with them, so as my first card got this one LTF. Few doubts I had on usage being a first time CC user:

1. I understand using the card directly on Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra, swiggy etc apps can give me 5% CB?
2. Apart from these, I do spend ~5-6k on big basket every month for grocery shopping. Was wondering can I buy Bigbasket coupons on Gyftr via Smartbuy for 5% cashback? Has anyone tried it?
3. Any other ways to optimize this card's benefits?

I understand max CB limit is 1000INR a month which makes it good enough for 20k spend per month. I think that's fine for my usage for now. Looking forward to learning from experts here. :)

Since no one replied, I tried to do this myself. Have purchased BB coupons from gyftr and added in BB wallet. Would get to know during bill generation probably if I get 5% CB or not

Congratulations on getting your HDFC Millennia credit card! It's a great choice for a first-time credit card user, especially with the Lifetime Free annual fee if you have your salary account with HDFC.

here are the answers to your questions:-

1. Cashback on Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra etc.:
  • Yes, you will get 5% cashback on your card directly when you purchase from Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra, Swiggy, etc. Just ensure you make the payment through the app or website where your HDFC Millennia card is saved.
2. Bigbasket cashback through Gyftr:
  • Yes, buying Bigbasket coupons on Gyftr via Smartbuy should yield 5% cashback. Many users have successfully received cashback this way. However, it's not officially listed as a partner offer on the HDFC website, so there's always a chance it may not work in the future.
can you explain the 3rd question once more, I am confused

Yes got the bill and it did give me 5% cashback for BB coupons bought on Gyftr.

However I don't see 1% CB for other spends. My bill is around 23k off which 6k was for BigBasket coupons for which I got cashback in statement itself. But for other 17k spends(online and offline), I couldnt see any cashback credited?
