I have heard taking health insurance from a bank in which i have bank account results in a cheaper premium. Is that true?

no they will try to sell the insurance, where they earn the most commission,you should always take insurance separately outside , and after a detailed research, you can try ditto, I have used their services and its good, you can also try policy bazar too

That is not true. If you have heard that from an agent, he must be trying to sell you the insurance to meet his target or for a commission. There are lot of youtube videos comparing different insurance companies/policies with all parameters and choose according to your requirement
Once you choose a plan, talk to offline agent as well as from policybazaar/ditto/policyX and choose where you get the most discount.
