Is HDFC Diners black credit card not accepted via all machines?

I have heard that HDFC Diners black credit card is not accepted by various vendors citing the issue that it requires a different machine than regalia or any other credit card. Is this true and if not does it make sense to get it over regalia gold?

It is actually true. HDFC must do something about it really soon. I don't understand the reason why. Is there something different in that card or what?
