There are many factors that needs to be considered for 10K investments.
These are Your objective, Your Tenure and Your Risk Appetite.
Since these is not mentioned, below is general rule apart from above 3 aspects.

1. Do not take more than 3 or 4 Mutual Funds
2. Check for portfolio overlapping in each of those selected funds
3. In general One should have 1 Large+Mid Cap Fund, 1 Small Cap Fund, 1 Strategic Index Fund, 1 Gold/Silver Fund.
4. Do not buy Pure Large Cap fund or Plain Index fund because they would not give a substantial growth over long terms !

How should I distribute my 10k investment in all the MF caps for better returns
I THINK JUST BUY 3 MUTUAL FUND
ONE YOU CAN GO WITH KOTAK FLEXI CAP AND THE SECOND YOU CAN GO WITH HDFC MULTI CAP FUND AND LAST GOLD OR SILVER ETFS ITS ENOUGH

You can invest your 8K in a mid cap fund and 2K in gold etfs if you can take a little risk if, you want to play it a little save then I would suggest invest 5K in a large cap fund and remaining 5K in gold etfs. Please do your own research for selecting which mutual fund you want to go for and also how much risk are you willing to take. If you invest in a mutual fund for a long term that will give you the most benefit.
