I bought a Samsung phone on EMI with my HDFC Moneyback Card. The EMI started from Feb 24 and after 5 EMI's I applied for preclosure. I received an email with the final amount to be paid with preclosure amount zero mentioned, which was also communicated to me on call with the customer care team. I cleared the amount on July 24. Now in this month 14th April, 2025 statement, after 8 months they have applied preclosure charges.
I emailed on "customerservices.card@hdfcbank.com" with the proof email. Now they are saying are investigating on the same and revert back by 5th May, 25. My statement due date is 4th May, 2025. I reply again asking them to give me confirmation that no addition charges will be added to me for not paying before due date, as the only due amount is the preclosure charges which is being investigated by them. For which they haven't given any confirmation. I am concerned if CIBIL will get affect if I don't pay on due date
Please guide what I should do.
