Scapia Lounge Access Denied — What's the Point of the Benefit?

My card statement was generated on 25th April with ₹8,000. By 28th April, I had already spent ₹10,000, and before 5th May, the total spend on my Scapia card crossed ₹25,000 — well above the required threshold for lounge access.

Yet on 11th May at 4:00 AM, when I tried to access the Travel Club Lounge at Kolkata Domestic Airport, my card was declined, saying "Card not eligible." The receptionist even tried multiple POS machines, but the result was the same — access denied.

If lounge access is part of the promised benefit, why does it not work even after meeting all the spending conditions? Either there's a serious technical issue here or this so-called benefit is misleading.

This is unacceptable. If there's some hidden rule or clause, customers deserve to know — upfront. Otherwise, it feels like we're being promised perks that don't actually work when we need them most.

Have you informed this to their customer care? What they've told you on this regard.

As far as I know there is no criteria accepted spend one for the access.

I agree .... Talk to customer care and find out.
May be it's the amount you spent in the last billig cycle is not eligible.
May be the current unbilled amount is not considered for lounge access

No, I did not talk to the customer care. It's not worth it, explaining them and spending time. And all my spends were on either shopping, dining, travel and forex.

My spending was mainly on shopping, dining, travel, and forex (including AI subscriptions).

Send an e-mail to bankers and mention the details ask them why you have been refused to avail lounge access

That's drawback of scapia. Lounge benefit is activated after around 2 days of statement gneration, not just days after spend criteria is met. Also, they decide credit limit arbitrarily. Because of these reasons, I closed my scapia card
