By mistake (due to a glitch in a repayment app), short payment of 1000 in Credit Card.

Hi all,
I recently paid my credit card bill. The total due was around ₹33,000, and the minimum due was about ₹2,400. However, the app I used showed ₹32,000 as the amount to be paid before the due date (30th April 2025), so I ended up paying ₹1,000 less by mistake of the payment app (I already raised an issue with them and Bank).

Because of this short payment, my latest statement included a late payment fee and interest charges. I just want to know — will this short payment of ₹1,000 affect my CIBIL score or be reported in my credit report?

P.S.: After receiving the latest statement, I immediately paid the full outstanding amount, including the penalty and interest, on 12th May 2025.

I’m really worried about my CIBIL score being affected. Please help!

Yeah... It would to a small extent, as it will stay in report as num-late-payments = 1.

As you are already talking to the bank probably they might agree to reverse the charges and also update report i.e. Remove late payment remark.
You will need to be patient and request them in polite manner as they are not at fault this time.

*Update*

I just got into call with Cred, after investigation it was found that My statement generates on 12th of every month Bank has considered a credit entry of next day i.e. 13th's entry into previous statement due to which this whole thing arise(because I will pay the amount shown in the statement thinking 13th may payment is done for the april statement only, so technically I paid the whole amount of bill as per my maths), don't know if I am right here or not? now can you help me what can I do, I am complaining in bank only but what if they don't respond or cater this thing?

*more Update: Bank's customer care says that it is my fault even if the amount of 13th April is taken into previous month It is my duty to check, after talking for 10 mins finally she agreed to complain to email id only as back end team will take care of this matter.

No, since you made the minimum due, bank can't charge you late payment fee, only interest on full outstanding will be charged. And they will not report it to cibil as you already paid the minimum amount due. Also if this is first time then bank might reverse these charges. Pls update once you get any update from bank or if you face any entry in cibil.
